Buckeye is my name and with one blue eye and one brown eye, I’m quite a handsome guy. How someone could just dump me off out in the country to fend for myself I’ll never know. I went to the closest house I could find hoping for a little food and a dry place to stay.  Since then the Missus and the Mister have been feeding me and keeping me safe.  I’m starting to understand things like “the crate” and that it’s not a bad place, it’s more along the lines of having my own pad, where I can stretch out and relax.  The part that I’m still struggling with is when to use my “inside voice” instead of my “crowd pleasing stadium voice”.  Whenever the rest of the 4 legged children aren’t around, I lay right down next to the Missus while she works in the yard.  I just get to be a “wild and crazy guy” when there are so, so many of us looking for attention from the same person.  Since this country drop-off spot tends to get regular traffic, the Missus and the Mister REALLY need me to find my forever home somewhere else because this is already a full house if you know what I mean.  The Mister says that I’ve got a lot of potential if given the chance with someone that will spend some time working with me.  Since there are so many of us here, I would probably be happier if I’m the only dog for awhile and I don’t always watch what I’m doing and may accidentally knock down a small child or elderly person. While staying with the Missus and Mister, I’ve been neutered, had all of my shots, tested negative for heart worms and am on a monthly preventative.
