The more safehouses we have, the more animals we can save!
We are in desperate need for foster homes in King William, King and Queen, and Essex Counties.  Fostering a homeless pet can be a rewarding way to give back to your community and save lives.  Indian Rivers Humane Society takes care of all of the medical needs of our foster pets.  This includes vaccines, alteration surgery, monthly heartworm preventatives, and flea-tick preventatives.  These homeless animals just need a temporary and loving place to stay until they can find their forever home.

There are many other volunteer activities available.
