Our adoptable animals can be seen on petfinder.com.
Adopting an animal is a serious commitment. They may take several weeks to settle into a new environment. They cost money and require lots of love and attention.
Our goal is to help you through the first stages and ensure that you and your new pet will settle into a lifelong happy relationship. Letting us know a little more about you by filling out an adoption form will help a lot.
We may deliver your new friend to you and have a short visit to make sure that there are not concerns for you and your new pet that you had not considered. It is our desire to put the right cat/kitten or dog/puppy into the right home and we assist you in every way possible to do that. We may also do a follow up visit by phone or, if you prefer, in person to be sure that you and your new friend are doing fine and to help you with anything that you have questions about.
The pet that you have chosen will have been fixed, been wormed, had its first rabies shot, and age-appropriate shots. It may also have been treated for fleas or ear mites and may have had other medical care such as distemper vaccine.
You will need to have a veterinarian. If you do not we can give you a list of area vets. He or she does not have to be from the list that we give you but it is good for you to have one in mind for future required immunizations and/or other health concerns. You will need to take your new pet to the vet as soon as you can to complete any needed immunizations and for a general health assessment. We do guarantee the health of the animals we place.
